Gentlemen
I have forgot one Russian source which lists the captured
1435 mm gauge locomotives on 31.12.1943 / 01.01.1944
and 31.12.1944 / 01.01.1945 by the Red Army.
The question is of Soviet archive TsGANH CCCP fond
1884 op 61.
On 31.12.1943 Red Army had captured 550 1435 mm gauge
lovomotives. On 31.12.1945 their number had reached up to
1507 locomotives.
In additition there are mentioned recaptured serie FD 1E1-h2
locomotives (114 locomotives), serie E E-h2 locomotives
(315 locomotives) and serie O D-n2v locomotives (198 locomotives).
These figures seems to be quite reliable.
For comparation DR-Ost had still on 31.12.1943 in East (RVD)
7250 locomotives of 2905 were in working order.
FEKdo had an allocation of 1112 locomotives of which 543
locomotives were in working order.
On 31.12.1942 DR-Ost had on books 6051 locomotives and
FEKdo 2062 locomotives.
By the way, have someone noticed that the date 21.12. was
also the birth day of "Father Sunshine" eg. Iosif Dzhugazhvili
This date can be compared to DRo / DR written off dates of
some locomotives during period 1945 - 1952.
Have someone been able to find out the list of 875 locomotives
which the Red Army took over with agreement with Lublin Committee
signed on 12.10.1944 from Poland ?
Cheers
