Re: [5feet] Most expensive train service in Europe in 2009.

In Sweden all X2000-trains are individually priced and prices change
almost daily depending on how early you book your tickets. Sometimes
1st class is cheaper than 2nd class. I travel typically twice a week,
and about twice a month manage to get 1st class ticket (only when it
is the same or cheaper than 2nd class). At the moment the cheapest
Stockholm to Copenhagen is 17.30 euro (for late August), which
compares well with Turku-Helsinki in Finland, 25 euro for 200km.
Trains I weekly use between Malmö and Stockholm are usually nearly
full, those between Turku and Helsinki have been nearly empty.
