The American Association of Individual Investors (AAII) provides investment education in investing basics, financial planning, and structuring investment portfolios of mutual funds and/or individual stocks. A not-for-profit organization, AAII arms individual investors with the understanding and tools needed to manage their finances more effectively and profitably.
The Pittsburgh Chapter has a number of Special Interest Groups, SIGs including:
-"Getting Started"- A Value perspective for Investment in stocks and mutual funds.
-Technical Analysis - Using indicators, chart patterns and trading systems with Metastock for profitable buy/sell points.
-Rational Investing - Combining fundamental and technical analysis for rational decisions, using Vector Vest to determine market direction and stock selection.
-IBD User's Group- for discussion of the "Investor's Business Daily" methods and investment criteria.
- Stock Investor Pro User's Group- for discussion and use of AAII's proprietary stock database software
The AAII chapter holds general and Special Interest Group (SIG)meetings throughout the year. The topic, dates and times are emailed to members of this group.
This Yahoo Group contains files of the presentations made at meetings and copies of meeting announcements. In addition, this Group is used to maintain our email mailing list, send out meeting announcements, and other related notices.
