As part of the "Much Ado about Agile" conference hosted by Agile
Vancouver Nov. 4 - 6, I'm doing a half-day tutorial called:
"Agile Testers - Crossing the Chasm: A Tutorial for Transitioning Teams".
Here's a brief description:
Agile development may have "crossed the chasm", but too often, testers
get left on the wrong side of the chasm when teams transition to
agile. This tutorial answers testers' questions about "keeping up"
with agile development, fitting traditional testing activities into
agile projects, and how development managers can engage testers and
benefit from their skills.

and click on "Agile Testers and their Teams"
The conference itself is pretty swell, with lots of sessions on agile
development, testing, coaching and other subjects, a great lineup of
speakers including Jonathan Kohl, Jim Shore, David Anderson, Janet
Gregory, Jennitta Andrea, David Hussman, and many more. I heard good
things from the people who attended it last year. You can see the
agenda at:

As I understand it, this conference is put on by the volunteers in the
Agile Vancouver user group, and although it's targeted towards the
local Vancouver area, I think it's worth a longer trip, which is why I
am so glad to be presenting! I'm also doing a track session on Nov. 5,
"Are Agile Testers Different?"
Thanks,
Lisa
