BHRN: Biotechnology Human Resources Network

Thank you for your interest in the Biotechnology Human Resources Network! The purpose of BHRN is to provide those who work in Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical and Medical Device companies with helpful information and a network of human resource professionals. This group is an excellent way to connect with others that work in the biotech community!

We would like to share with you the criteria that must be met to obtain approval into the group. Before you submit your application, we ask that you determine the category of Human Resource professional that best describes what you do. Those categories are:

Category A: Current HR employee
* Be a regular full-time or regular part-time employee in HR in a Bay Area Biotech, company OR
* Be the person responsible for HR in a Bay Area Biotech company

Category B: Independent Consultant
* Have transitioned from Category A to Consultant role and still be focused on the biotech industry OR
* If you have not come from the Category A, (e.g. a consultant who worked in another industry and is now working in biotech), you must be sponsored by a member and approved by the membership committee based on the following criteria:
* Be currently working with (or recently having worked with) at least one biotech company AND
* Have overall HR experience of at least seven years (so as to add value to the group)

Category C: Industry Recruiter under Contract
* Have transitioned from Category A to Consultant role and still be focused on the biotech industry OR
* Be primarily focused in biotech recruiting with at least 2 years in the industry
