Thank you also for the basket that I won - it had a little bit of all of you which was very sweet. Pancakes and coffee this morning, followed by a shower with lots of nice smelly stuff, and then I'll put my spare coins in the piggy bank egg, and use those pens to write some notes on the postits while wearing my hat.
So sorry I've been unable to join you - some of you know that with the latest contract I've been working for a company, I've had conference calls every tuesday and thursday morning, clashing with the meeting times. I'm intending that will change and will get back to you if it does!
Blessings to you all,
Rachel

Greetings everyone:I am sending this email out to the group to let everyone know how well attended our BNI Visitor's Day event was, and the chapter accomplished it's initial goal, "To Reach the North Tahoe Community Businesses" for BNI. I believe we had 22 visitors, who not only witnessed how BNI works, but also participated in promoting their businesses as well.I wish to make a special thank you to the following people:Shawn Noe:Shawn spearheaded this event, and researched what we needed to do to make this event a success. Shawn continue to push us all, which made it happen and generated the invitational letters for us all to use.Linda Nerstad:Linda did an awesome job contacting businesses. She had a huge list, and reached out to several businesses in the community. She also had name tags ready for all but a couple of visitors who we had no knowledge were attending. This made a huge impression on the visitors.Sally Small:Sally also did an excellent job reaching many businesses in the community. She also made the arrangements with the college for the wonderful room the event was held in, and made catering arrangements.Shannon Pisano:Shannon made the signs placed in the parking lot and at the entrance of the campus. Between her and Sally we had great visibility using Sally's "A FRAME OPEN-HOUSE SIGNS" with Shannon's "BNI" overlays. The signs had attention getting balloons as well, which made us easy to find.Virva PorcelliPut together a wonderful basket as a door prize for the visitor's raffle. Virva also did a nice BNI educational presentation. The basket she put together contained donated items from our chapter's membership (the door prize was won by Rachel Flower who has visited our BNI group in the past, congratulations to Rachel).Bill Ferrall:Bill's warm personality always makes a lasting impact on those who meet him for the first time. Bill was one of the greeters, and many people commented to me how he, and other members, made them feel welcomed. Bill also did an excellent job exhibiting how BNI works, with his commercial and testimonial.Dennis Nerstad:Dennis and Linda must have arrived at 7:30 AM, because when I got there at 7:45 Dennis was already moving tables to set up the room in a configuration that worked well for our meeting. Dennis is always there to make sure we are prepared.Willeta Kerschner:Willie, our BNI director, did a great 10 minute presentation on BNI, which generated a lot of good questions and reinforced the benefits of why BNI works. Thanks again to all who attended, and to those on the list who visited as well! We should follow up on those who visited, and see if BNI will work for their business marketing plan!Have a great weekend!Bob RappaportSierraTech
