A group for railway enthusiasts, professionals (past and present) historians and modellers to discuss and share information about the locomotive-hauled coaching stock of British Railways from nationalisation to privatisation (1948-97).

The group covers pre-nationalisation designs operating in the BR era and hauled stock built in the BR era, including BR Standard Mark 1, Mark 2, Mark 3 (including HST trailers) and Mark 4. The group covers both passenger carrying and non-passenger carrying coaching stock (NPCCS), plus train formations and carriage workings. Railway modelling aspects of coaching stock and post-privatisation developments in BR standard stock are also included.
