Hi, members and visitors
From this side of the pond, I lack enough info, but it seems that the new US
administration is teeming with behavioral economists.
Wow, how nice, congrats! Maybe we have some in this room ;-)
But, however enthusiastic I am, I hope they will not give a bad name to
behavioral economics.
Be careful and humble, boys !
That knowledge of human motivations when facing economic stakes is certainly
quite useful. Notably to avoid uneducated policy decisions that would have all
chances to fail.
On the other hand, there might be a temptation to use that knowledge for
manipulation. And here would come perverse effects.
The strange case of Behavioral Jekill and Behavioral Hyde?
More info about that? Any opinion?
