Need Help on a Drill Bit Source   Message List

I've been trying to find a specialized tool,
and I've had a hard time.

Does anyone here know of a source for 1 1/2"
masonry bits? I know I can find core bits,
but they won't do.

I need to be able to make a 1 1/2" diameter
by 1" deep hole in some soft stone (sandstone,
limestone), without percussion and without
penetrating fully through the stone.

I can find up to 1" diameter bits with no problem,
but, above that I'm hitting a dry well.

Any ideas?

You may have to drill it with the core bit and then come back with smaller bits and drill the center section in several places and follow that with a chisel to...
