Our committee is made up of a number of people who over a long period of time have on an individual basis encouraged and supported the progress of the Wellington Shire (Victoria, Australia) (‘the Shire’) in their various capacities as local business people and advisers.
These people are passionate and committed to the economic development of the Shire recognising the benefits that will flow to our community including job creation and infrastructure development.
In an acknowledgement that their collective efforts will achieve more than their individual efforts, the Committee for Wellington (‘the Committee’) was established to support the Wellington Shire Councillors and their executive management team promote the economic growth of the region.
The broad objectives of the Committee include offering:
• A link between the business community and the Wellington Shire Councillors and their executive management team;
• Advisory assistance to Councillors and their management team;
• Support for major projects; and
• Generation of economic development initiatives.
