Hi,
Haven't been on in quite a while. I am writing this from my computer
at home before I leave for work. I went to our meeting yesterday and
made a few phone calls to other colleges to find out what happened at
Barclay Street last week. From what I can understand Ms. Tucker
laced into certain shop stewards about the letter that was sent to
Lillian Roberts. I honestly don't know why she even bothered because
when I spoke with a representative from Ms. Roberts office I was told
that each local was autonomous and petition was sent to Sandy
Tucker. When I asked if that made sense, since we were complaining
about our President and the Executive Officers of the Executive
Board, I was told someone would get
back to me. I am still waiting. Thank God I am not holding my
breath and waiting!

Ms. Tucker, however, is in a better frame of mind and quite agreeable
this week, from what I can understand, as she wants the membership to
each send an individual letter to the Chancellor. So she needs us.
It is a good idea and one that I know was suggested to her many
months ago. But now it can be her idea. I do agree about taking
this action even though I hate to see her get any kind of credit or
kudos for it!

My next question is who are we nominating to run against her or her
choosen successor in April?
