Chicago/Milwaukee region traction/transit discussion group. This list is for discussion of the historical aspects of the Chicago Transit Authority and its predecessors; also Milwaukee Electric Lines. Included are discussions of the various classes of streetcars, changes in modal operation, openings, changes and closures of "L" lines, the trolley bus networks, the Milwaukee interurbans, planning policy, employee and observer remembrances, much more. Also included: Illinois Central/Metra Electric, suburban trolley systems, North Shore Line, South Shore Line, Chicago, Aurora and Elgin, and the new Kenosha PCC trolley line!
