<<<<<<need info for an x60h 8 door hi-cube box car.numbers are

This is one of those classes that are all over the map depending upon
the equipment inside. The best bet is to find a pic of an X60H and model
it. The range is 238003-240004 90 cars total.

<<<<and an
f21 flat car..40'6" numbers are 69300.
>>>>>>>

This is a make believe car. Manufacturers sometimes throw paint on a
model to sell more of them. The F21 is an ancient PRR car that probably
never saw a CR mark. There may have been some in scrap yards waiting for
a torch or for maintenance service, but nothing that would run in
regular service.
The 5 digit number is maintenance service but my roster says there is
nothing in that area. It is made up also.

CR had them but they are hard to come by as they were never released
publicly, you need to know a RR employee or wait on EBay. The only
public roster is an ORER (Official Railroad Equipment Register) Here
they are on Ebay=

http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?from=R40&_trksid=m37&satitle=equipment+\
register&category0=

Just wait until your year shows up, they are published quarterly. Some
guys are scanning them on CD's as well for about $20.
ORER's seldom publish classes, but it is a start for you.
Of course, join the CRHS and every once in a while there is something
there for you.

I added some data below to help aid in searching the prior owners for a
forthcoming CRHS journal article:

-CR 223500-223510 as class BH63A to NS class BP61 but off roster now.
What was the previous owner? I assume through Helm as there are many
types.

-CR 223537-223548 as class BH62A to NS BP62 but off roster now. I assume
also ex HELM. I have photos of 3, 1 with ribs and 2 without all double
door. ORER lists 67-7 OL and 6437 cu ft for the whole series.

-CR 222600-222608 as ex UP 7373 cu ft. 1977 Berwick cars -68'-1" OL -
UP series?
2 are on NS as 651801,802 class BP56
http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/rsPicture.aspx?id=96365

-The 86' hi-cubes bought through WCRC 8xxx I assume all DRG&W?
WCRC 80xx and 86xx series 1966 Thrall and 1964 Thrall rblt by Thrall
1987-88
WCRC 8023-28 1964 Greenville 4 doors

above the reporting marks. Never got any pics.
