Hi Balaji,
You should do the written correspondence using email and/or postal letters with
both the parties. Let Citibank know of the issue in detail. If it does not
resolve in one month you can approach RBI Ombudsman at
http://www.rbi.org.in/Scripts/bs_viewcontent.aspx?Id=159 with all the evidences.
I had similar case with Citibank and Sahara Airlines. In my case, Citibank took
my case with RBI Ombudsman on my behalf and I finally got refund from Sahara
after that.
Cheers!

My friends had got her father admitted to the Sundaram Medical Foundation (a
leading hospital in Chennai) for a gall bladder surgery recently. After a
successful completion of the ailment my friend paid the Rs.30,000/= bill

The shock was when she got her statement from Citibank which showed two

Delhi Govt. has planned to ban all profit making Blue Line buses by the end of
this year and expand heavy loss incurring state run D.T.C buses. This one is
another foolish step.
17 year old Mokit who works in a garment factory was depressed he had no money
left for food after paying up the bus fares. He may have to beg and work to be
alive. Not easy, then Sheila seeks to drive out beggars from Delhi. She hates
begging. She'd love to see people committing suicide or taking to crime.
This stupid lady does not know that 80 crore people below poverty line and 1
lakh 7 thousand suicide per mensem is real face of India.
Some blue line bus staff told me that the hike in fare of blue line buses has
come as a wind-fall gain for them
This reminds me of Empress of Prussia who advised her subjects upon being
complained of starvation – people are not getting bread. Her Statement is
historical. "Then they should eat cake" she had said.

Well that was the first thing I did but not with much expectation.
I thought visiting the office personally would be more prudent as the customer
care people over the phone wont have much authority to fix anything.
Trying to argue with them to make good my losses ...
Senior officials have been cooperative but I am yet to get the losses back
Hoping for the best and preparing for the worst !!!

Hello Group,
Last week KS liquidated my complete portfolio because a customer care agent
pressed "Redeem ALL" on his terminal. When I visited their head office, a
senior KS official (AVP) assured me that they would repurchase everything
and reimburse "all my losses". Now they are renegging on tax liabilities
arising out of the mess. I am just fed up of the whole mess after spending
the weekend number crunching only to find KS going back on promise. I think
I will have to move to SEBI. Can I ask for damages for this harrasment ?
I would appreciate any input from the group.
Thanks

Hi Balaji,
Please get in touch with your bank to retrieve Sales Slips and verify. Also
you can file a *Disputed Transaction *with your credit card issuer
institution. Besides this, greater amounts should flash a text message to

I requested him to look into the problem. But vain

I finally redeemed a couple of points with imint , for gift vouchers( thanks to
the people who warned about other gifts being broken or totally diff from the
picture shown !). Imint does work properly as far as placing the order online
and postage of the gift is concerned. But be warned that still some gift
coupons like those by HPCL are not honoured by most bunks and points are not
credited properly to your name. They have missed out a few months in between.
I had no hassles getting the account activated through customer service though.

Hi Kamalesh,
Â
Hope things are going fine at your end. I need your help in
exposing Sobha and their fraudulent practices. I am posting a few links below.
I would appreciate if you can forward these to the IRIS group and anyone else
you know.
Â
1. The latest post on mouthshut.com http://www.mouthshu t.com/product-
reviews/Sobha_ Developers-
925071645. html tells about the various issues we are facing with
them. Some of them like concelaing litigations, marketing private plots as a
4-ft access road or not mentioning about a govt road that is supposed to go
through the property, amounts to fraud.
Â
2. One of our residents went to UTVi show and aired these
concerns. The links are provided below:Â
Â
Part 1: http://www.youtube. com/watch? v=39STw3AK5t4
Part 2: http://www.youtube. com/watch? v=bQp4mIkY0yc
Part 3: http://www.youtube. com/watch? v=dtovq7EDNrg
Â
We want to bring the fraudulent practices of Sobha in front of the public so
that their so-called reputation takes a beating. Maybe nothing will come out of
it for us but at least these guys will think twice before doing the same on
their next set of customers.

Dear Friends,
This email is being sent out once a month to familiarize new members with the
information that is already available on the Consumer Voice India group.
While we take utmost care to weed out spam and frivilous emails, you can choose
to regulate the number of emails you receive from the group. Go to "Edit
Membership" link and set your Message Delivery preference to "Daily Digest" so
you get at the most one consolidated email per day.
Most of us are already aware that the archives are searchable and can be used
before taking our money to a business. Your complaint showing up online
pressures the business to resolve your complaint speedily.
Here are some lesser known features:
Links : http://finance. groups.yahoo. com/group/ Consumer_ Voice_India/ links
Links to buying guides that let you compare products and services as also the
contact details of various consumer rights NGOs and resources.
Database : http://finance. groups.yahoo. com/group/ Consumer_ Voice_India/
database
Currently has a single table to list the good experiences of Consumer_Voice_
India members for quick reference.
If you would like to upload any files, add links and information, add a feature
etc., please email us at Consumer_Voice_ India-owner@ yahoogroups. com.
An effective group needs active involvement of every member. Members are
requested to forward complaints on this forum to any senior executives they
might know at the company in question. You can also help by inviting prominent
citizens to join us and strengthen the group. Please do copy us at
Consumer_Voice_ India-owner@ yahoogroups. com when you send out the invite.

This is just a way to fleece customers.
If you give a low rate of interest more new customers will join and get locked
by the agreement. Then the banks will increase the rate how much ever they like,
if you want to opt out you will pay a high amount as prepayment charge and what
you paid in the first year would only be interest component. So customers would
rather stay than move out. even if the interest charge is much higher. And from
the bank's side you already paid for processing fees etc in the first year so if
you pay 2% lesser it wouldnt be a difference from the existing customer.

Since this group primarily has negative feedback , I thought of adding some
positive as well.
I think Racold geysers are the best example for quality. I have one at home
working fine for 16 yrs now, with around 30 min usage daily.
After sales service is good in Hero Honda for bikes and Maruti for cars.
Needless to say Bajaj is the worst.
For clothes, Identity is a good brand, I have one which hasn't faded noticeably
in 5 yrs.
