Dear Friends and Colleagues:
I’m writing to let you know that I have decided to accept an offer to join the Enterprise Sustainability consulting practice at Deloitte Consulting here in the U.S. The Center for Sustainable Innovation (CSI) will continue to exist and I will continue to serve as its Board Chair.
That said, most of CSI’s activities will subside and my own energies and efforts will shift to Deloitte Consulting, where I will be working as the founder and Director of Research at its new Center for Sustainability Performance (CSP) in Waltham, MA. Both CSI and I, however, will continue to be based in Vermont.
All of my prior work on context-based sustainability measurement and reporting, the Social Footprint Method, etc. will be embraced and extended at Deloitte in a way that I hope will lead to greater uptake and traction in the marketplace.
CSI’s historical training programs, such as the Social Footprint Masterclass, will also be transplanted to and rejuvinated at Deloitte’s CSP in Waltham under my direction.
All in all, I see this as a very positive step in the implementation of everything that I and CSI have been working for and promoting over the past few years, so I hope you will join me in regarding this move as a very positive one in terms of what we have been trying to accomplish in the field of sustainability.
On a going forward basis, all of CSI’s publications will continue to be freely downloadable, and I will continue to be reachable at mmcelroy@... or alternatively, now, at mamcelroy@.... This discussion group, too, will continue to exist, so by all means chime in whenever you like!
Regards,
Mark
