Many may remember about 5 years ago, our friends, Chan and Sylvia Joye were faced with a terrible fate from a surgery of their daughter, Amy, which left her without oxygen for a long period of time.  Sylvia has been Amy's constant protector and care-giver as she was placed in NHC on Parklane Road.  Amy withstood many battles with MRSA, high temperatures, gall bladder and kidney problems  but always survived each and every ordeal.  However, this past Friday she was once again placed in the hospital with temp 103.3.  She began throwing up and aspirated into her lungs.  They made the decision to remove the stomach tube and she quietly passed away this afternoon in the hospital.
