Really, thats a valid point.
But you are drawing on parallels with two different Dennis films
there. And while i do see where you are coming from, i cant help but
feel you missed the point with regards to the plots.
It is difficult to compare a film where Dennis played a young guy
working in a Vietnam military hospital with Dennis playing a loner who
eats leeches and lives underground. Both of these things put a certain
demand on an actor who neither has experience as a Vietnam auxiliary
nurse or lives underground and eats leeches.
if you were to draw parallels with two characters played by Dennis in
his career, i would put Eddie Kasprack and Desmond Floyd on the same
level as they were the same type of character. Desmond was the more
pluckier of the two and was played more for laughs i feel.
But i would like to thank you Sherry for allowing me to express my
opinion, as you have yours.
