Description

Welcome to the Driveaway and Transporters Lounge! We do the work of moving new and used trucks, RVs, buses and other vehicles from manufacturer to customer, from sales lot to buyer or company to company.

Transporters are paid professionals, most with a CDL Class A or Class B license who generally work as Independent Contractors. This Forum is for those who move the semi-tractors, beverage trucks, RVs, stock trailers, utility trucks and other commercial vehicles over the road paying our own way across he country.

Auto Driveway is a separate field - usually unpaid - and pertains to the free use of a vehicle in return for moving it cross country.

Keep it clean, keep it civil, keep it truthful, stay on topic, be responsible, share your knowledge. New members will be on "moderated" status for their first couple of posts. Drive safely.

Re: Harry's Hybrid
Regenerative braking has been used in locomotives since they went hybrid. It's too bad trucks didn't follow them more closely.

Not to forget a shear load, which is common when a cable is caught between irresistible objects.

Re: Harry's Hybrid
The only time I was aware that it was a hybrid was in a parking lot, when the electric motor ran. Otherwise, the diesel motor was always running, and pulling,
