Last Friday, on CNBC, I was asked to name some stock picks for this
week. My first choice for them was Jo Ann Stores (JAS) to buy on Monday
(March 12), at the close, and sell on Tuesday (March 13), at the close.
Interestingly, Tuesday was the second largest sell-off of the year.
More than 80% of stocks lost money. But, JAS gained more than 12%
during that single day -- the second-best showing of any eligible
stock!
Now, I've been invited back on the show again this Friday. "On The
Money" will be aired from 4-5 pm, Pacific Time. That's 7-8 pm, Eastern
Time. I'll try and learn more specifically when my appearance will be.
This pick was based on the "short squeeze" strategy I describe in the
Handbook I wrote for contestants in CNBC's Million Dollar Portfolio
Challenge. (See http://www.forecastingsystems.com/Handbook01.htm for
more information.)

Dear Friends,
A couple of weeks ago, in a small burst of creative energy, I created a
50-page Handbook for Contestants in CNBC's Million Dollar Portfolio
Challenge contest.
There's still time to enter this event. So some of you may wish to take
a look at what I have done. It is now available as an ebook. For more
information, see http://www.forecastingsystems.com/Handbook01.htm
Now, I have been invited to appear live on CNBC, tomorrow (Friday)
afternoon/evening, to talk about the strategies I have recommended.
The show is called "On The Money" and my appearance is scheduled for
about 7:40 pm, Eastern Time. That's 4:40 p.m., Pacific Time. I'm also
told that the program will be aired throughout the weekend.
