Description

Welcome. Because of spam messages, the Forum is closed to new members who are not on our mailing list. If anyone wishes to join, please email us for information. Gold and metals have fluctuated greatly in the past year, and will probably fluctuate in the next year also. Thanks for visiting. Beginners Note: This forum is for advanced aspects of gold, platinum, and precious metals refining and recycling from computers to electronics to jewelry-- beginners are urged to read previous posts. Also, much information is covered on the side links. In addition to the Discussion/Messages forum, we add Updates every few months with tips and information about rare and bulk CPUs and ICs, processing computer and electronics scrap for recycling gold, silver, platinum, palladium, PGMs, other metals like nickel and tantalum, information on natural sources of these metals, and more. Disclaimer: This forum is for descriptive and informational purposes only. The Group is not responsible for individual opinions and ideas expressed here. Like the Electroplating Yahoo Group, this Group deals with chemical processes and there are numerous methods to conduct safe refining as well as recycling.
Thanks for joining and have a great 2009.

This video is too large to send by emails to registered members, so it is on YouTube now. Pause it in places to read the descriptions. This shows 1st the separation of silver and base metals in strong nitric solution and the recovery of silver, and 2nd the dissolving of gold plate with AR. This works best in small batches. These videos are for informational purposes only. Results can vary widely, depending on the processes being used.
