To our Gravity Railroad group members:

As you know, steam engines were vital to the operation of most
gravity railroads. We are going to have a Pennsylvania Industrial
Heritage Society meeting/field trip to a steam engine festival this
coming Sunday, October 4, 2008. There is information at this web
site: http://www.steamoramapa.com/ We will be meeting as a group at
about 1 PM on Sunday, October 4. The festival runs from Thursday
through Sunday if you can't make it on Sunday. As usual, we will be
monitoring/communicating on 146.52 MHz simplex FM, and I will also be
on FRS channel 2 and M.U.R.S. channel 2 (not using any PL tone or
privacy code for any of those channels). Email me if you are
planning to attend with the group on Sunday.
