Thanks to all for your words of wisdom regarding the motivation of youth. These
comments have given me a lot to think about. As several of you have mentioned,
if we knew the answer to such questions ... If we knew how to have youth respect
themselves and others ...

Linda, thanks for the reminder: "However, the one thing you cannot do is to want
something for someone more than they want it for themselves."

And the obvious consequence of apathy is what we can see with employees who
cannot do some very basic things. Which brings us back round the circle to the
importance of testing employees before hiring!
