Speaking personally, I like the "human voice" example; it appeals to me.
Speaking professionally, I would neither seek out and destroy those 10
boilerplate phrases nor would I rely on them. If those 10 phrases are what
works with the HR folks who screen resumes, they probably do some good. If
they're turn offs, they probably ought to be pitched. The problem for me is
that I don't know what screeners screen for and neither, I suspect, does anyone
else. If they do, and they've got good evidence, that's what ought to be
shared.
