Description

This site features information, history and photos of shortline railroads which feed the Central Oregon & Pacific Railroad in the historic "State of Jefferson" from Northern California near Weed, CA, northward to Eugene, OR, and westward and southward from Eugene to the Oregon South Coast. The McCloud River Railroad is covered by another Yahoo Group Site.

We welcome you to become a member of this group and to share your photos and other materials.

All photos posted must be related to these shortlines (such as the YW, WCTR, Superior Lumber and Green Diamond Sand Products), and be your own material. Identify each photo with your name, date, location, and other information of value to the viewer.

Please only post material concerning the Central Oregon & Pacific Railroad (CORP) if it involves interactivity with the connecting shortlines. We suggest Yahoo Groups CORPfan, CORPphotos, CORPpower or CORPmw for material that is strictly CORP related.

Those who submit photos grant the owner and the moderators the right to edit, shrink, organize and delete them at their own discretion so that order and web space can be maintained. Submitted photos will not be used off of this group site without your permission.

We hope you enjoy Jefferson State Shortlines. If you have questions, comments, and/or suggestions, don't hesitate to contact us. Please post your messages to: JSS@yahoogroups.com

If you enjoy this group site, also check out the Jefferson State Shortlines 2 site as well at <http://finance.groups.yahoo.com/group/JSS2/>, which covers the Jefferson State on the east side of the Cascades.

Re: Yreka Western Freight Operations -- Update
As of right now, TP is not shipping by rail on the YW. TP took CORP and RA at their word that service would cease on April 15 and made arrangements to truck
