Description

This site features information, history, photos, and discussion on the shortline railroads on the east side of the Cascades in Oregon and Northern California, including the Modoc Northern, Lake County Railroad, Klamath Northern, City of Prineville, along with other predecessors. This eastern part of the historic "State of Jefferson" includes Klamath, Lake, Deschutes and Crook Counties in Oregon, and Siskiyou and Modoc Counties in California.

We welcome you to participate in this group and to share your photos and other materials. All photos posted must be related to these shortlines and be your own material. Identify each photo with your name, date, location, and other information of value to the viewer.

Please only post material concerning the Union Pacific and the Burlington Northern & Santa Fe Railroads when it involves interactivity with these connecting shortlines.

Those who submit photos grant the owner and the moderators the right to edit, caption, shrink, organize and delete them at their own discretion so that order and web space can be maintained. Submitted photos will not be used off of this group site without your permission.

We hope you enjoy Jefferson State Shortlines 2. If you have questions, comments, and/or suggestions, don't hesitate to contact us. Please post your messages to: JSS2@yahoogroups.com

If you enjoy this group site, also check out the Jefferson State Shortlines site as well at <http://finance.groups.yahoo.com/group/JSS/>, which covers shortline operations on the west side of the Cascades.
