The Winter 2012 issue of EDM Today contains an article about job description.
They have an example of a Wire EDM Operator. I have seen production environments
where operators load and remove parts and start the machines.

In job shops, the EDMers may actually create the programs.

What was immediately noticeable to me was that this description said nothing
about Continuous Improvement.
