One great feature of the eGroups lists is the ability to search all the messages in the list archive for any string of text.
So, I am going to arrange the list so that you send a message describing what is missing. To avoid spammers and un-wanted listings, I will moderate the messages and approve them before they appear on the list.
Most of you will probably not want to see these messages appearing in your mail box. So, go to eGroups, then to My Groups and set your setting for this list to no mail/web only. That way, you don't receive the messages in your email but can read them on the web site.
Now, if you want to see if a radio has been listed as missing, go to the web site, click on the "Messages" link and search for the string of text you are looking for: "MT600", "TK-380", "466XYJ12E", what ever you have. The search will look at all the text in all the messages and show you all messages containing the text.
If you find the radio in a message, you can reply to the message and the reply message will go to the person posting the original message.
This change should make the list fairly self-service.
Suggestions always welcome. Messages will be approved before appearing. Radio Test Equipment and Commercial and Public Safety radios only, no Amateur, CB, FRS, Nextel, or Cellular equipment please.
