Since 1969, the Mississippi Great Southern Chapter of the National Railroad Historical Society (Chapter 108) has existed to give it's members opportunities to grow in their interest in railroading.
Whether it be gathering and preserving railroad historical data, photography, model building or just enjoying hearing the stories of the by-gone days of the railroad, there is something for everyone.
Based in Hattiesburg, Mississippi the MGSC offers fellowship, education, a historical library and outings to help preserve this important part of Mississippi History.
This Yahoo Group will serve as a major source of communication between members of the Mississippi Great Southern Chapter of the National Railroad Historical Society.
