City of Mexico in 1938   Message List

According to the November 1938 Official Guide, p. 696 the City of Mexico was a
weekly all Pullman Special running from St. Louis to Mexico City, leaving St.
Louis on Sundays, and making the return trip on Thursdays.

It consisted of a spanish lounge observation car with showers, soda fountain,
lounge, bar, and radio, a 6-3 sleeper, two 8-2-1 sleepers, two 12-1 sleepers, an
MP dining car, and a Memphis - Mexico City 10-2-1 sleeper.

It departed St Louis ahead of the Sunshine Special at 5:30pm.

That is what I learned about the train, if anybody is still interested.
