The aim of the group is to allow modellers and historians of the post-modernisation era on Britain's railways to exchange information and ideas. The only "official" line is that all posts should be broadly relevant to this aim. Although this will mean most topics covered will deal with British outline diesel and electric locomotives and models, overseas railways and other forms of traction are not specifically excluded.
