***Like Our Other Nine FAX Lists, this is for the sharing of information and memories about the New York, New Haven & Hartford Railroad Company. This list is for all of those who worked for, rode over and / or studied this fascinating property ! The NH was one of ( if not THE ) premier passenger carriers of the country ! It is still evolving, with signaling changes and the extension of catenary eastward to Boston. Created by Bill Strassner, who started riding the NH in 1960 and even got some cab rides ( and running time !) on the FL-9's, and the Jets ( EP-5). This list was created to concentrate on the protoype aspects and operations. From my varied railroad career and railfan activities, my focus has been primarily on signaling, towers, track layouts / charts, train dispatching, motive power, and consists. Discussions should be limited to the prototype, as models can be discussed elsewhere. There is another NH List, NYNHHrXr at onelist. Our other nine protoype lists include PRR, NYC, CNJ and Railway Signaling, found by checking yahoogroups for them. Please respect Our Files area as belonging to the 'owner', and always request permission before copying, etc. Like Our Other Lists, this also exists to promote friendship amongst the members, and that attitude is expected.
