This group is dedicated to learning and sharing information about the history of New Jersey's, New York's, and Pennsylvania's rich transportation networks. It will focus on the railroads, canals, and trolleys and related industries that once existed in these states.

PLEASE NOTE: Do to the high amount of people who joined and posted to the NjPaRAILSandCANALS group just to SPAM, all new memberships will be approved by the moderators. If you spam at all, you will be banned - All decisions are FINAL!

This group will act more as a clearing house for questions on past history, not current day history, unless it relates to the subject, such as reports on industrial archeology.

All who share an interest the above subject are welcome to join the list. Announcements regarding shows, trips and/or items for sale are allowed, however, announcements for shows or trips should be limited to those physically located in the territory that the list covers.

2. Please minimize any and all excessive quoting.

3. Topics must not stray too far from NJ-NY-PA rail/industrial operations, history, and modeling, unless deemed relative to the discussion by the moderator.

4. Posting of "FOR SALE","TRADE" or "WANT TO BUY" items is permitted, but MUST BE ON TOPIC and related to NJ-NY-PA rail/industrial subjects!
Also, replys to such should be made OFF LIST to the originator of the message. You will be politely warned, but if ignored, said person(s) replying may run the risk of being put on moderated status.

5. Absolutely no tolerance for political discussions or personal attacks - one strike and you're out.

6. An honest interest in the subject at hand. In other words, know what it is you're joining.
