We're a group of NYC-based established & up-&-coming professionals in the Public Relations/Corporate Communications field. Our group serves as a support system for said PR professionals in all fields, & we welcome each others' input & feedback. NOTE: This list is for NYC-based PR's, NOT event planners or other related industries. If you're NOT in PR, you'll be denied membership.
We'll try to have get togethers/happy hours to get to know each other better face-to-face & not just by email. Please feel free to post issues, articles, & questions, etc. This is YOUR board, so get involved in the discussions; don't just lurk!
PR pros not located in NYC are welcome to join & participate in discussions (& we hope they'll come visit us too!); but please keep in mind that events & job postings will be limited to the NYC area. Discussions can be global as long as they remain on-topic and NO POLITICAL opinions are allowed (you will be warned once, banned the 2nd time).
Please note: Anything NOT PR related needs to be posted as "OT:" (off-topic) BEFORE the subject line & must be kept BRIEF, otherwise your post will be moderated. Those wishing to respond to an OT post, please respond DIRECTLY to the poster & not the entire list, unless the moderator has given permission to keep the discussion on the list. Again, political opinions will be banned from discussions. (There are others lists for that.) Cross-postings from other lists should be marked as "X-Post:". And pls., NO SELF-SERVING POSTS (ie - Media Alerts, Press Releases, Resumes, etc. about yourself or friends).
