Our November 14th meeting has a special speaker, Fay Blix who will be
discuss trust administration procedures and requirements with a
special focus on special needs trusts.
Enjoy one of PJs Abbey's wonderful lunches while Fay shares her
unequivocal insight into the practices and procedures of
administering a decedent trust. Her presentation will review the
notice and filing requirements, an overview of trust accounting, tax
preparation and other related procedures trustees and advisors should
follow.
Fay will also address the administrative and discretionary challenges
trustees of special needs trusts face. Trustees are generally
charged with the responsibility of supporting a beneficiary without
impacting government entitlements. Fay will provide examples of
issues when managing a SNT and discuss a general overview of the
trustee's fiduciary standards of care when making discretionary
decisions on behalf of special needs beneficiary.
This promises to be an extremely valuable learning opportunity for
practitioners, planners, attorneys and care managers alike!
We expect there to be high demand for this presentation and seating
will sell out and be limited. Sign up early to ensure your space!
The earlybird deadline is Wednesday, November 7th and your
reservation is not confirmed without your sign-up form and payment.
You may find the sign-up form at the "files" link just to the left.
You may also register online at www.calcpa.org/oclb.
