A very strict query gives a 50% chance of a higher closing, which if it happens will be really a good closing, or else its a minor closing below the 1468.60
 
What has happened more frequently is that the closing of Friday is greater than Thursdays closing by about 26 times.
I used this closing to get the ranges after winnowing the 107 instances down to 10 and keeping the first set of hits.
 
So there is a 33% chance of a gap up opening, which has a 100% chance of a higher closing.  This set doesn't ever think of a lower low and all 100% have a higher high or > 1470.70.
 
The gap down opening has even odds.  The Up closers have a 25 % chance of a LL and a 25% chance of a HH, while the down closers have 50% chance of a LL and a 25% chance of a Higher High.
 
Friday's range was 32.70 points from High to low. Monday's range is contracted - expect half or about 16.65, or even as high as 24.00 point range.  Lately, if I see a contraction like this its almost better not to attempt to day trade.
 
The gif of the ranges shows no clear cut support or resistance.  .382 Retrace goes to the pivot; this might be a good place to watch.  Bulls never let it go below .382 , well almost never... :)
 
Monday could very well be a day that gaps up and the gap is never closed.  If this is the case, then use the Estimated Daily range of 17.71, as a best guess of the possible range . Thus if the day get to show a distance of 16-17points and its up near the Cone zone of 1489 and its 2 pm, one might want to take money off the table.

Bob is now writing under the Sigma Trader link located near the top of
the page. You may have to hit reload. There may be a few quirks ahead as
he is just learning  HTML. I had to change my data feed to Esignal ahead
of time. They didn't warn me some of the symbols would be different. It
may take a few days to get this straightened out. The system is flat and
won't be giving any signals today, and maybe not for the rest of the
week, if I am unable to get start data. Our insider alerts section is
now up.

My BMI data feed will no longer be available via cable up here in Canada at the end of September. I have not yet decide which data feed I will be using, or if I will be able to feed data into that particular program. I don't think I will have any problem with Trade Station 2000. End of day Astro charts will definitely still be available.

Just two quick notes. The NYA system chart is posted daily to help traders understand the signals.   Remember any system has to issue use a buy order to close out a position then sell order if it is also going short at or near the same price if it is long. That is why you receive multiple signals. You may have also noticed how the system moves the stops.

Robert Roesks one of the contributors to the Momentum Cycle section will soon have his own section. We hope to have it up sometime this weekend. It will be found under the Real time traders section link on the very front page. We will probably call it , Real Trader. Bob lives on the west coast, Jon our other writer for the Momentum Cycles section lives in New York, and put Bob's work together. This frees up more time for Bob due to the time difference. Jon will still continue with the MomentmCycles section..

We are also launching a new section next week. OEX Trader,  InsiderScores.
We hope you  enjoy!.

I am little  bit behind in finishing the OEXTrader site. I hope to be able to catch up next month. My other ventures are taking up more of my time now.
