This is a group devoted to discussions of Oregon's Public Employee Retirement System (OPERS). Its charter limits discussion topics to those directly related to or about the Oregon PERS, or retirement topics in general. Questions are welcome. Political discussion of any kind is prohibited, unless the discussion has a direct bearing on retirement, social security, medicare, or Oregon PERS. Moderators will delete any post that does not meet these requirements. Otherwise, any relevant post is welcome. Members who consistently violate these rather tame rules will be banned. The group is open to all to join; if you are already a member of another Yahoo Group (e.g. OPDG) you need only "join" this group; you do not need to register with Yahoo again. If you are here on Yahoo for the first time, you must join the group in order to post messages. The group will also have an RSS/Atom feed so that you can use your favorite newsreader to poll for messages without having to come to the site unless there is a topic that interests you.
HINT: if you are getting too much email from this group, you can choose an option that lets you get a single email per day (digest), or one that permits you read posts via the web only. If you want to change your options, choose "Edit Membership", which resides to the right of your login name above the green bar above. Hope this helps some readers.
