PSVillage (www.psvillage.com) is a fast growing, on-line community of over 1000 Technology Professional Services Leaders representing nearly 650 companies. The only networking forum of its kind, PSVillage was founded in 2004 to provide a forum for Professional Services Leaders to collaborate and share research, best practices, resources and more. The site hosts a moderated discussion forum, an online magazine, a niche job board, PS benchmarks and PSA reviews, a spotlight of members, a LinkedIn Group and a variety of free or low-cost services including webinars,white papers, workshops, research and networking events. On September 1, 2007 our first community book was published. Tips from the Trenches: The Collective Wisdom of Over 100 Professional Services Leaders was written by PSVillage members, and includes 165 tips on Professional Services covering a variety of topics from Services Strategy to Methodology to Services Sales/Marketing. You may purchase a hardcopy version for $29.95 plus shipping cost or download an e-book for free - both options are available on the PSVillage website.
In Fall 2006, PSVillage launched a PS Power Breakfast Series in major cities across the U.S. to enable PS Leaders (Directors and VPs/SVPs) to network and share ideas, PS challenges and best practices.
In January 2007, PSVillage announced its sponsorship of Schools for Humanity (www.schoolsforhumanity.org), a non-profit founded by PSVillage members to build schools in Ethiopia and other developing countries. Through our sponsorship, PSVillage will utilize the power of the PS community to help educate underprivileged children worldwide one village at a time.
