Welcome to PennsyWest, an open forum for discussion of the history, development and operations of the western lines of the Pennsylvania Railroad (PRR), once titled the Pennsylvania Lines West of Pittsburgh, and its corporate predecessors. We would like to encourage and help facilitate historical research on these railroad lines, which include the PFtW&C, PC&StL (Pan Handle), Vandalia, GR&I, TH&I, JM&I, C&P, E&P, OR&W, LM, etc. While we welcome the modeling fraternity with enthusiasm, we respectfully request that modeling-specific discussions be excluded. Our only requirements are that civility and decorum be maintained at all times, and that--as much as possible--facts are clearly distinguished from speculation.
