HOME PAGE PICTURE (07-15) SUBWAYS AND ELEVATEDS: Philadelphia celebrated the 100th anniversary of the Market Street El/Subway in 2007. The original line, from 69th Street to 15th Street, opened in March 1907 and was extended under Market Street a year later. With the train door wide open, folks get a nice breeze as a train of original "Easy Access Cars" heads westward after leaving 52nd Street in August 1959. Ed Davis Sr. photo/NYCSubway
