The purpose of this group is to exchange information on railroads in Southern Illinois.

Southern Illinois is defined in this group as anything from the old B&O (now CSX) St. Louis line across Illinois south to the tip at Cairo, Illinois.

This includes anything from the earliest lines in the area to fallen flags to discussion on current operations and current events.

Anyone interested in the railroads of southern Illinois is invited to join.
