Job Description

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY:
The Human Resources Manager’s primary role is to administer and coordinate all
human resources and employee relations functions at one of our facilities
located in the northeast. This candidate serves as a liaison between all
functional departments providing advise, counseling, and Human Resources
service. This position is responsible for staffing, benefits administration,
policy administration, issue resolution, training, and development.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Advise on Human Resources issues that have an impact on the business.
2. Maintain communication with Functional Human Resources Managers regarding
major HR activities.
3. Develop and administer employee relations programs.
4. Advise employees regarding questions or concerns on changes in Company rules,
policies, and procedures.
5. Maintain and enhance positive employee relations through communication,
consistent administration of policies, thorough and timely investigations, and
issue resolution.
6. Ensure proper administration of key programs such as Incentive Programs,
Affirmative Action Planning, performance management (MAPs), Merit Planning, and
Advancement Planning.
7. Develop, coordinate, and administer location salary, wage, and benefit
administration.
8. Develop Communication Plan for the facility.
9. Assess the facility’s training needs and develop action plans to deliver
appropriate training to all levels in the organization.
10. Investigate and prepare background data for compliance audits and legal
cases.
11. Continue to develop knowledge in areas of human resources practices such as
legal changes, EEO requirements, and any other compliance agencies or government
regulated fields by attending meetings and training sessions.
12. Consult with the Functional Leadership regarding employee concerns, goals,
and improvement opportunities.
13. Responsible for appropriate staffing levels within the facility
14. Ensure compliance to all Kraft Policies as well as state and federal
regulation.
15. Assist Department Managers with employee relations matters in their specific
areas.
16. Assist in the change management process to ensure good communication and
understanding by all.
17. Achieve established department goals
19. Responsible for continued development of location employees to help build
the bench strength.
20. Responsible for helping to create one culture in the location..
21. Assist with facilities management and building activities.
22. Link with the community as appropriate to foster good relations.

Learn and understand all ethical and legal compliance responsibilities of the
position; raise questions and concerns with the appropriate company personnel if
compliance and ethical issues arise. Model and promote ethical and legally
compliant behavior and maintain an open environment where employees feel free to
speak up without fear of retaliation. Ensure employees reporting directly and
indirectly know the compliance responsibilities of their job, take required
training, and have access to the information they need to meet their compliance
responsibilities.
