I'm hoping some body or if anyone is familiar with soursop or if
you know of anyone who has taken it before. I have a dear friend battling Cancer and they asked if anyone knew about this at all. I appreciate your feedback to forward the info to them. Please only reply if you know of this product.

hubby was at the mall last week and was on the second floor and was trying to
find a way down to the first… and feeling discombobulated because he couldn't'
find the way down over near california pizza kitchen (the escalators by hagen
daz ) he said he felt trapped, ended up finding an exit to a parking garage
and took the garage stairs down. he didn't tell me this till tonight when i
told him about my experience today
today i was in the mail to meet a friend for lunch at california pizza kitchen
and noticed things looked different from about 2-3 weeks ago when i was last
there. first all the tables near the cupcake place were gone, as were the
benches and other seating, there were several older people asking the cupcake
place and starbucks about it because there was no place for them to rest ( and
as i also have a physical impairment i also noticed it was gone ) then it
wasn't till my friend showed up who had parked near nordstroms said where did
hagen daz and the escalators go?
i have to say that i think it's unsafe that the escalators are gone from that
part of the mall. there is no easy exit from the second floor of that part of
the mall in an emergency. does anyone know to whom we can voice our concerns
both about the lack of stairs from upper level to lower level and also the
removal of the occasional seating. ?
thanks
please post again when you get a response, so we know if this is a permanent change or?

The Sunday paper had no car sale ads except from dealers. Where do
private parties go to sell cars? My friend's
old old Volvo ,well kept and still running well was totaled, she wants
to buy another.
Any tax sites that enable you to prepare your taxes free? I do not care for electronic filing and am willing to copy the figures back on to paper forms.
I tried the following Turbotax and TaxAct, which turned out to be not free this year, H&R Block claims to be free but I have not gone to the end, and not sure if it is turely going to be free.
It is getting to be time consuming to thest each one of them out :)
Hi
i have a couple bags of opened Science Diet dry cat food. I called a couple
shelters and they only want unopened ones. any idea of an organization that will
take opened ones around Sunnyvale/Santa Clara area?
thanks
K
I work as a volunteer for a couple of different cat rescue groups in the south bay. Towncats and Friends For Pets. I also know several volunteers in the "Feral Freedom" program who would be thrilled with a food donation. If you are ever in the general area near Oakridge Mall 85/87, I would be happy to meet you and distribute them to the groups.
I used to post twice a year on the Freecycle groups about cat items needed, but for some reason the moderators of the Freecycle groups on Yahoo (not the Freecycle.org group) will not allow me to request items for non-profit organizations. They don't want preferential treatment for a non-profit. Go figure!
Let me know
if you come to my area for any reason in the near future and if not, I can ask around to see if there is anyone in your part of town willing to take open bags. It's a pretty small tight-knit community, us cat people. A lot of organizations will not take opened food for understandable reasons, especially if just dropped in donation bins. Some of us do as long as it is in the original manufacture's bag and we actually meet the person. (We have to make sure it has not been recalled or is overly expired.) Thank you for considering rescue groups to donate to. It is greatly appreciated and it is how these groups survive by the kindness of folks willing to donate supplies.
Cheers!
Amy

I have a Mario Batali recipe and it calls for 3 oz. of dried porcini mushrooms.
After pricing them at 3 stores and finding they are between $75 and $100 a
pound, I'm not using them.
So what is a good substitute? Cremini that I pre-saute?
Any hints?
Mario must be deluding himself if he thinks we can make this recipe.

I've found dried mushrooms in a small package at Trader Joe's. I don't recall what variety or how much exactly (under $5). I wouldn't know the diff between one kind and another, though.
Here are some online opinions -- basically, sub any other dried mushrooms (not fresh).Â

A representative from St. Leo the Great School has said that is if there is enough interest through this flyer and the upcoming 4/25 adults-only workshop, they would like to work with Kidpower to schedule other age-appropriate workshops in San Jose.Currently, Kidpower does not have any workshops for elementary school-aged children scheduled to be held in the San Jose area (only in the Oakland/Berkeley area).

I am interested in adding some solar security lights on the side of my house
that has no lighting at night. I would prefer that they be motion-activated. I
know that solar lights won't be as bright as wired electric lights, but would
still prefer solar if I can find something that works well and provides adequate
light. The lights could be mounted along the roof line or on a pole. Does anyone
have suggestions for products or installers?

I have a couple of concepts that have popped up over 10 years of playing with these things. 1. Do NOT put them where they can get wet from sprinklers and even rain (if possible), The water deposits will cloud the cell layers and make them not recharge. 2. They really must get sun light for most of the day to recharge the internal batteries. 3. Buy units that can take some abuse from kicking etc. Plastic will grow brittle and break down with sun exposure so a metal housing is best. 4. remember these have internal rechargeable batteries that last at most 5 years. Thus, look at units that the battery can be change. 5. Add some kind of reflector so you don't light up an area you don't care about. Heavy aluminum foil works well (must be the really heavy
kind) Any kind of adhesive tape will brake down rapidly in the sun and heat.
SOOO you see there are a conflicts in the best installations. That is the major reason wired lights have a n advantage.

I am also interested in solar lights, mainly want to know if any of
them last thru the night.
My experience is that they illuminate for only 3 or 4 hours.

There does not seem to be much advantage to solar power for
motion-activated security lights since they will be rarely lighted
and then only for a brief time, so the energy used is insignificant.
I have a pair of non-solar motion-activated floodlights mounted under
the eaves on the dark side of my house. They are incandescent floods
because I want them to come on at full brightness quickly, but all
the other lights in my home have been converted to CFLs. There are
probably LED floods now that would work well also.
I have a small solar-powered light for my house number. It is barely
adequate and gets dimmer during the night as the battery runs down.
The battery requires replacement occasionally. Anything solar powered
will require batteries at night when the sun is not supplying energy.
The battery charge depends on the amount of sunlight received during
the day.

I'm heading up a pinewood derby pit crew and we need weights for the kids cars. I'd like to avoid lead.
Anyone have ideas on where to purchase small weights (balls, cylinders) of tungsten or other dense material at a reasonable price? I can't order online since they're needed this weekend.
I have wired motion sensor lights next to my porch and my garage, and I really
like them. I agree that unless you have a lot of sunlight on the solar kind,
they may not do the job as well as wired ones.
Dale
We put a small solar light (the type you stick into ground) at end of our driveway so we could see driveway easier when arriving home at night. Within a couple of days someone stole it.
I'm looking for a combination of an excellent diagnostician who likes
to work on old cars, and reasonable rates.
My 20-year-old Toyota won't start and it's possible something is
draining the battery. Before I install a new battery, I'd like to find
out if it's worth repairing (= affordable).
Since it will need to be towed, the shop needs to be in PA or MV --
unless you know of a reasonably priced excellent diagnostician who
also makes house calls?
Thanks!
more details: The battery has been tested and it was totally dead.
The car wouldn't start even with a portable charger, so something else
is going on.
If I install a new battery and something is draining the battery,
that's a waste.
