There are more than 50 active or reserve military in our church
and last week was our remembrance of their service, so each
and all wore their uniform, and the colors came in with 2 Marines
bearing the colors, a Navy nurse on one side, and an Army (female)
Captain on the other.
When the call was for WW-II veterans, there was only one left
in our service, and Jim, who is, along with his wife, a founding
and charter member, is not doing so well. Kathy is younger
and in good health, but Jim is sinking. He was a Marine
fighter pilot in the Pacific. He knew some members of the so
called BlackSheep Squadron but was not one himself.
