27.5 million people are employed by women-owned businesses.
Women receive 70% of their referrals from other women.

But…

Women walked away with only 11% of the capital funding given last year.
Women received only 4% of the Venture Capital funding.
The Federal Government spends 250 billion dollars a year.
For every dollar they spend women-owned businesses get 5 cents.

SOFE is based on the give2get principle. Give your time, advice, wisdom, and money to help other women-owned businesses and watch your business grow as a result!

The Identifiers are:
(discussion) – Business/Life. This is an open discussion about business/life topics. Please no politics/religion.
(event) -- For all event announcements
(give2get) – Give to get! (example: I will give a free haircut for two hours of marketing advice)
(intro) -- For first-time self introductions a brief description of your business.
(promo) - Participating members may make a brief promo email of their business (250 words or less) only on their day. If your business name starts with an “A” then you can make a brief promo on the 1st of the month. If your name starts with a “B” then on the 2nd of the month. etc. This starts over every month.
