Motor Claims Information System

We strongly urge all members who have not submitted motor loss statistics for the years 2007 and the 10 months ending October 31, 2008 to kindly do so.  The reliability of the MCIS as well as it usefulness reside in the cooperation of all members thru the submission of their motor claims statistics in prescribed format.

We request that before any total loss or large loss payments be made, the particulars of the loss be transmitted to the Association so that an appropriate MCIS response can be made.

The MCIS was intended, among others, to alert members on duplication of claims specifically total or large losses.  For member’s information, we attach MCIS statistics on claims on vehicles with same vehicle details totaling 86 cases. (Annex “A”)

We are also enclosing a list of companies who have not yet submitted their motor car claims information request and those companies that have made the MCIS a part of their claims settlement process, hence, their religious compliance with the MCIS requirements. (Annex “B”)

For those companies that do not write motor business, we kindly ask that a letter to this effect be sent to the Secretariat.
