The former SVP Finance/CFO of of Solera Holdings (NYSE) and Camstar Systems, Hugh is a member of the Knights of Lambda Calculus and a USPTO patent author

Hugh was at Stanford University from 1996-2002 in graduate math and engineering. Despite not completing his Ph.D or advanced degree, he made two noteworthy accomplishments: He successfully defended l'Hopital's rule and defeated key postdocs from the Hanson Engineering Lab in a famous math challenge and secured a wife in the process.

Prior to Silicon Valley, Hugh worked as an associate for Don Carter, the reigning proxy and tender offer king of Wall Street during the 1980s. Don was portrayed fictionally as Gordon Gekko in Oliver Stone's 1987 movie Wall Street and their offices at 237 Park Avenue were used for much of the footage.

Hugh's current portfolio companies include WGT Media (World Golf Tour), Camstar and Mediamorph. He is on the Board of Directors of several new pre Series A ventures

Hugh is a mountain climber and can be found fighting off mountain lions, bears and rattlesnakes in Sequoia National Park or Inyo National Forest with his pals, one of whom is a Naval Academy appointee and former leader of the USMC Mountain Warfare Group. To relax, he enjoys pointing out errors in Salman Khan's advanced math videos or solving asymptotic expansions of integrals and inverse Laplace transforms while playing Appassionata backwards. During the summer, Hugh likes to listen to Tim Draper or Steve Jurvetson while being suspended underwater, upside down in the deep end of his pool.

His wife, a beautiful blonde engineer who majored in ME at Stanford, works as a R&D engineer in Silicon Valley. She holds 3 patents at her present age of 32.
