Description

Welcome to Santa Cruz County Freecycle™! The goal of the this group is to reduce waste by connecting people who are throwing away items with others who are seeking the same items. Since this is a FREEcycle list, ALL items must be 100% FREE of charge.

A FAQ is available here

** DISCLAIMER ** FREECYCLE MEMBERS USE THE LIST AT THEIR OWN RISK. Please take reasonable measures to protect your safety privacy when posting to the list, giving or receiving items. By joining and participating on this list, you agree to hold neither the list owners and moderators nor anyone affiliated with Freecycle.org responsible or liable for any circumstances resulting from a Freecycle-related exchange or communication.

SAFETY: Be aware! It is up to each individual member of Freecycle when arranging to give or receive an item, to be appropriately aware of the potential risk of having a stranger come to your home, or giving out personal contact information in a public setting.

Please READ BEFORE POSTING:
Please use one of these terms: "OFFER:", "WANTED:" "TAKEN:" or "RECEIVED:" to begin the subject line of each message, followed by a space, then a few words describing your posting. Please observe the case of these terms for those that filter their email (Upper case "OFFER:", "WANTED:", "TAKEN:", "RECEIVED"). Messages from new members that do not follow this convention will be edited then sent to the group.

Examples:
OFFER: wool
WANTED: bottles

We have a membership challenge-response type of management. This means when you go to subscribe, you'll be sent a message. Respond to it and the moderators will add you to the list. Please note we cannot accept members with "hidden" email addresses.
