Hi Fellow Scrappers!

I would like to first welcome all of our new members! I very much
look forward to meeting all of you that I have not had the pleasure
of meeting in just a couple of weeks, while also revisiting some of
my friends! You are sure to have a good time, while also getting a
much needed break!

Next, I would like to post an update:) WOOHOO!

Scrapbook Getaway Reservations

ScrapCampSouth is ALMOST full for WINTER 2006!
ScrapCampSouth strives to offer you the lowest
weekend rates possible! For as little as $165 you can have a weekend
away! Your retreat package includes 5 meals, around the clock
cropping, two nights of lodging and a make and take class! With
rates like these, the reservations are almost full so reserve
your weekend today, as you do NOT want to miss out!

We only have room for EIGHT more WEEKEND croppers, so it is truly
first come, first serve, at this time.

We will have an extensive tool section on hand, as well as an
exclusive scrappin store, so that you can purchase things as you go,
if need be!

Next, you will be earning tickets for ANY and ALL goodies that you
bring! You will get one ticket for every goodie that you bring, and
TWO tickets if it is homemade, or a 12 pack! Use the tickets to
earn GREAT prizes on Sun!

We will also be having a LO contest Saturday afternoon! The three
categories are as follows: Best All Around (this is your fave LO
that you have EVERY done! It does NOT need to have been completed
at SCS), Best SCS LO (this does need to be created here), and best
Leaving Prints (this is the company that is sponsoring the retreat,
and anything on the LO from LP will qualify for the contest). YOu
will get tickets toward Sun for entering, as well as winning a
contest.

We will be having a BEST Mardi Gras attire contest! In the spirit
of commemorating and remembering our dear friends in New Orleans, I
wanted to pay tribute to them by having a Mardi Gras theme! We will
have Mardi Gras Decorations around, as well as having a Mardi Gras
Costume contest! Think purple, green, and gold, jester hats,
crowns, beads, etc! This is sure to be fun! We will also have
photo opportunities with our attire, so be sure to bring your camera!

You can earn badges for each LO that you complete! There is a total
of 20 badges that you can earn, so if you try to earn all of your
badges, you will leave with a minimum of 20 completed pages!
woohoo! There are many more details about this, but I do have to
have some secrets, now don't I?:) lol! You will find out the
details upon arrival!

Ribbon Swap: The two biggest things that I use in scrapbooking tend
to be ribbon and paper! Therefore, let's have a ribbon swap! You
will need to cut your ribbon into ONE yard increments, and can swap
until your ribbon is all gone! You can have all of the same ribbon,
or have several different kinds. Just please make sure that the
ribbon is one that would be good for scrappin, like grosgrain,
sheer, organdy, and some of the newer specialty kind. Basically
anything that would be cute for a paper bag book or inside a 12 x 12
album, going across the page.

SWAP table: Bring items that you no longer need or use, and put
them on our swap table! Even if you have nothing to put there, you
will not want to miss out on the great bargains that you can find
there!

We have a couple of other games that will be announced upon arrival,
too, that are lots of fun! You have the ability to participate in
the fun and games in between scrapping, or you can just scrap-on,
while watching the rest of us be a lil silly:) This is YOUR
getaway, we just provide the ability to have fun, while scrappin,
and meeting new scrapbooking buddies!
