Description

This online group is for WWII 60" Searchlights manufactured by Sperry and GE around 1940-1944. This is an open forum for owners, operators, and people who are interested in preserving these great old artifacts. Each searchlight can produce up to 800 million candle power by using a Carbon Arc. The beam of light produced is amazing! They can be seen for miles.

Postings regarding other Carbon Arc searchlights such as the 24" unit are also welcome.
