YOUR NETWORK MARKETING LIFESTYLE:

I read in a Real Estate Mag the other day that most Americans have lost 1/2 of their net worth in the past 18 months. Under these circumstances you have 2 choices:

1. You can lower your standards and cut back your dreams and lifestyle

2. You can redirect your efforts and rebuild your net worth

Depending on how much 'net worth' you had, 1/2 of it may be $25,000, $50,000 or $100,000. Consider SendOutCards as a way to quickly recover what's been lost AND put together a residual income plan that will protect you in the future. Network Marketing is the perfect vehicle to do this because it doesn't take much money to start and run a business.

Check this out . . . Mervyn's, Circuit City, and Linens and Thing's have all gone out of business. Starbucks announced in January it's closing 300 stores on top of the 600 announced last year. Ann Taylor: 163 stores shuttered. Eleven Macy's, 24 Sears, all 34 Home Depot's Expo Design Centers, 115 Zales, 70 Ruby Tuesday's and all Virgin Megastores are biting the dust this year. And that's just a partial list of retail casualties!

I want to reiterate that many companies must downsize or close stores to survive. We on the other hand have ADDED people to grow. Which side of this equation would you rather be on? Would you rather be the one building a team or eliminating a team. We live in rapidly changing times that will require extreme shifts in thinking.

Again, making this shift does not take extreme effort or struggle. You'll need to work. It won't happen sitting at home watching TV, but when your intention becomes about serving others, everything will seem to fall into place.

Don't get me wrong . . . you'll have tough days. You'll have days that people get busy and don't call you back. You'll have days that no one that you have scheduled answers their phone. You'll have distributors that promised you the moon and not do a thing. But because of your state of mind, these things won't effect you. You'll stay excited and motivated. You'll see a much bigger picture.

This weekend Jordan attended the Wealth Summit with Megan and a few friends in Las Vegas. He was one of the speakers. He spoke for 45 minutes on the topic of residual income and Beach Money. Megan sold 'Beach Money' books at the event to raise money for his charity of choice (www.kiva.org). He was not paid to speak, however he was able to enjoy an amazing weekend in Vegas with my friends Bob and Betty and Golden, Gabe Legacy, Wendy Brennan and Leigh and Elly. They threw everything into the FJ on Thursday and drove to Vegas. On friday they checked into the luxury suites at the Venetian overlooking the strip. Each Suite had 2 rooms with every upgraded amenity you can imagine.

Betty Ann cooked us the most amazing Italian Dinner for Mother's day.

Afterwards sat out in the courtyard at Bob and Betty Ann's (#5 in SOC) million dollar Tuscan style home in Vegas and had a cigar with Bob under the stars. It was a perfect night. The courtyard is filled with fragrant Jasmine and they have a beautiful fountain that adds just the right atmosphere to end the day.

Needless to say, none of this would be possible if he still had a job. You may know that for 17 years Jordan struggled in the job world just to pay his bills and most of the time he was behind. It wasn't that long ago. He can remember consciously shifting my focus from 'linear' income to 'non-linear' income. Although he made the shift mentally, it took a few years for it to materialize in his life. As an adult he can remember buying Kraft macaroni and cheese at .33 per box and mixing it with tuna as my meal. He did this because it was all he could afford.

By the way, many others are on the same track. Whether you are brand new, making $100 per month or making $20,000 per month, he has passed through all of the same milestones as you have along the way.

We had a saying in hang gliding . . . 'The mountain doesn't care' meaning that if you obey the rules (ie; don't challenge nature), you'll be just fine . . . but if you challenge nature, 'The mountain doesn't care'. It can 'take' you regardless of who you are and how good you see yourself to be.

In our business, the computer doesn't care whether you are black or white, young or old, fat or skinny, smart or not so smart. The computer just looks at your group volume and takes a snapshot. It calculates the correct check amount and sends the check to the address attached to your account number. It never discriminates. As your volume grows, your check grows. I like that! It doesn't matter what your background is or whether you have been successful before in the past or not.

More from Jordan:
Years ago after going to a seminar I created a list of things that I wanted to do before I die. I made this in the early 90's when my income at my job was still under $20,000 per year (I was in my 30's!).

1. Personally have lunch with Tony Robbins
2. Sit up front at concerts, shows and sporting events (tickets usually purchased from
brokers at $500 each). Aerosmith, Dave Mathews Band were two of my favorites
3. Become a Real Estate Investor. I love the game and I have been wanting to do this for years.
I don't spend much time on it, but I am investing each month.
4. Have a charity and give more money away each month than I used to make at my job.
5. Fly in private jets - I have traveled all over the United States, Canada and to Europe on private jets with friends.
6. Fly in a Helicopter
7. Become a famous author. Beach Money was just a dream and today it has been read by thousands all over the world and is a best-seller.
8. Stay in a castle in Scotland on the Loch
9. Speak in front of thousands.
10. Own multiple residences in the country and the city
11. Fly hang gliders

These were just a few of my dreams that have come true. I am not alone. There are thousands of Entrepreneurs (some are with SendOutCards) that are living their dreams today because of the income they make through Network Marketing. I know many of them personally and have traveled the world with them. The main advantage I have is that many of my friends are living their dreams today as a result of starting and building a successful network marketing business.  Your perspective changes when you get around people that have done it. It makes it real. Its so important to read books written by network marketers because you'll begin to see what's really possible for you.

I get asked . . . 'What is a typical day like?'

Really there is no typical day. Each day is different. On one day, I'll make calls, do a conference call or two, train someone, walk-through someone through sending a card. On another day, I may take time off to do something fun with my family or friends. I average 1 Gift Account Walk Through per day. Some days I may do 3 and other days none. I am very aware and grateful each day for the freedom that I have been given as a result of this profession. One of the reasons I continue to work is that I want others to experience what I get to experience. I choose how much or how little I work.

My mother has been very ill and has been in the hospital for 3 months. He mind is going and she isn't able to stand or walk any longer. I have spent many days with her in the hospital which I would not be able to do if I wasn't financially free.

I don't think much about this, but if anything were to happen to me and If I weren't able to work, I would have very large checks coming in each week. Its the ultimate security.  Most people say they want a job for security. We all know how secure that program is after the events of the past few months! In this economy most jobs can be eliminated in a blink of an eye.

Here's the key: You must create the FEELING first of being 'free'. That's when you'll begin to attract the right people.

AGAIN: You must create the FEELING first of being 'free'. That's when you will begin to attract the right people. You must be FREE before you can be free.

I wake up when the sun wakes me up. All my places face East and the sun rises in the east . . . the sun wakes me up most of the time. I book my flights after 1pm. I enjoy working out in the morning or climbing the mountain. I am only on my e-mails 2-4 hours per week now and I always find a relaxing place to do e-mails like outside on my deck looking out over Sedona or a nice coffee shop with some music.

I value my personal time with friends and due to the number of calls I receive, I protect that time. I worked very little in the past 4 days however today I put in a 10 hour day. I received an invitation to join Gabriel Legacy and one of his distributors at their luxurious high rise condo overlooking the Las Vegas Strip. It was a full 1/2 floor with floor to ceiling windows and modern contemporary furniture. The place is spectacular. They are from England originally. They sold their martial arts schools for millions and today are working sendoutcards and a couple of other entrepreneurial projects. They served us lunch and and we just chatted and had fun. They are a young and energetic couple with huge potential.

One huge benefit of building a large business in our profession is the invitations you get to do so many fun things. A pilot in your downline will invite you to take a flight to some beautiful place. A dancer in your group will give you front row tickets to the ballet. A wealthy entrepreneur will offer you courtside seats at the basketball game. A few months ago, Jim Martini invited me and a few friends out to sail with him off the coast of LA. We listened to music and watched some whales. The benefits are endless. And YOU will have opportunities to do the same for your team as you grow.

So here's the question. Are you willing to make a go at it? Not try it out or play around at it, but really commit to become a network marketing professional. If so, its really simple.
